Sara aka "smiling sara"
Sara is an architect and lives in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been known as "Smiling Sara" for years, as spectators at her high school track meets commented that she was always smiling as she ran by the bleachers. She is married to Jeff and they have 2 retired racing Greyhounds named Gordon and Gracie. Although Sara ran in high school, she stopped for a while during her college years. After 3.5 years of inactivity, she took it up again and discovered that there were miles beyond mile #2! That was when she became hooked on distance running. Her current PR's are: Mile - 7:07, 2-mile - 16:00, 5K - 25:15, 1/2 marathon - 1:55:30, marathon - 4:07 (her first and only in April 2003). She would like to get back to her high school track times for the 1- and 2-mile someday, and would also like to run a marathon in an exotic place like Hawaii or Athens, Greece. Sara's hobbies include gardening and cooking. She also enjoys travelling. Her favorite quotes are "Pain is temporary, Pride is forever" and "I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am." |
