Megan aka "mmrocker" ![]() Megan and "Alphonse" - her bike!
Megan is another long-distance
WIM. She has been involved in running pretty much her whole
life, doing track and XC in high school, and then running unattached
during her college years. After college, she competed for the
Running Wild Race team, and more recently for The Capitol City Tri
team and the Active.com elite race team. Her 5k PR is 19:00 and
she has a 5 mile PR of 33 minutes. The one race you can always
count on seeing her at is the Quad City Times Bix 7 miler in July.
After a knee injury, Megan had to give up daily running and now focuses on triathlons. A nominee last year for Minnesota Multi-Sport Rookie of the Year, this year she hopes to compete in Shreveport, LA at the age-group national championships. Megan lives in the Twin Cities, MN with her training-partner-in-crime, Patrick, and their menagerie: 3 cats (Maxxie, Frank, and Mo), 1 big, furry, dog (Sam), and several fish tanks. *********************************************************************** "You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've given myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement." --Steve Prefontaine |
