I have always been a sports fan – more of an observer than someone who actually participates. Recently, with much encouragement from my MIL who is an avid runner, I signed up for my first race. Needless to say, I am hooked now! I love running and strive to improve with time. My life has been blessed in so many wonderful ways and I feel that I have been led to the Bedford Women in Motion for greater strength, growth and camaraderie.

A little history of me: I am a Lynchburg native and 34 years old. I graduated from Lynchburg College and plan to return this fall (2004) for a second degree. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 12 years. My husband, Dave, is very supportive of me and my interests. He has always been active in sports and now I am joining the game. We share our lives with two wonderful daughters, Kelsi and Anna. They are ages 6 and nearly 3 years old. We are members of Timberlake United Methodist Church. I am also a member of MOPS – Mothers of Preschoolers.
